Adhamina brings over 27 years of experience in the design and construction industry managing interdisciplinary teams to improve sustainability in buildings.
Adhamina is an accomplished green building administrator and has been involved in the certification of hundreds of projects. Trained as architect, engineer, and construction manager, Adhamina can efficiently bridge between professions, brings together the project team, identifies sustainable opportunities and goals, and documents the desired level of green building certification.
Adhamina is an official Instructor in sustainability at U.C. Berkeley since 2009, and lectures at Stanford University since 2001. She has served on the Board of multiple sustainability and energy committees, and was three years an elected member on the AIA-SF Board of Directors (2018-2020). Adhamina was selected to serve four years in a row (2021 to 2024) in the WELL Materials Advisory Group, that strives to mitigate the risk of hazardous chemicals in construction materials to people and the environment.
In 2011 Adhamina was recognized by Engineering-News-Record (ENR) among California’s Top-20-Under-40for her work in sustainability. In 2017 she was featured at Pledge 1% Women-Who-Lead for creating change within her community and workplace.
Adhamina is an Architect/Civil Engineer from the University of Seville (Spain), and has a Master's Degree from Northwestern University’s Civil and Environmental Engineering Department.
